About

The OPEN EDXL CAP DE project is an open source project as defined under the Apache License 2.0

This project is endorsed by the OPEN Special Interest Group (SIG)

The Open Platform for Emergency Networks (OPEN) is a United States (FEMA) Federally sponsored backbone that is designed to relay Emergency Management messages to the Emergency Management community.

Currently OPEN focuses on the Emergency Data eXchange Language (EDXL) standards produced by the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS)

This project is intended to demonstrate simple connection methodologies and small application demonstrations of OPEN connectivity in a re-useable platform in order to advance the use of this national asset.

Individual "sessions" are intended to be fully documented and displayed from simple to complex applications in a classroom-type format.
